How Screen Printing Works

Also known as silk printing, the process starts with a design. The design is printed onto an acetate film, which is used to produce the screen or stencil that will transfer the design onto the chosen product(s).

Once the stencil is created, a screen is lowered onto the product, which is on the printing board (this applies to things that can lay flat). Ink is added on top of the screen and is squeegeed across the product. This distributes the ink through the stencil and onto the product. Special washing fluid is used on the product, and it is heated for curing.
